By car
You can reach the island of Elba by car where on arrival to Piombino, two different shipping companies (Toremar and Moby Lines) offer comfortable ferry services that during the tourist season navigate hourly,on a daily basis.
From North:
Freeway A12 direction Genova-Livorno. Exit at Rosignano. Continue on the S.S Aurelia until exit Venturina - Isola d’Elba and from here continue to Piombino Marittima.
From North-Est:
Freeway A1 direction Bologna-Firenze-Pisa-Livorno, exit at Rosignano.Continue on the S.S Aurelia until exit Venturina-Isola d’Elba and from here continue to Piombino Marittima.
In alternative: take the s.g.c. Firenze-Pisa-Livorno , exit at Firenze Signa and continue on the S.S (super street) until the Collesalvetti exit. Re-enter the freeway and continue to Rosignano Marittimo and there, take the s.s to Venturina and therefore, from here continue to Piombino Marittima.
From South:
Freeway A12, direction Roma-Grosseto.S.S Aurelia exiting at Venturina-Isola d’Elba. Continue to Piombino Marittima.
