Trekking

The Mild climate favours off-season stays, for either a restful holiday or to practise individual and tem sports, if so desired with the aid of specialised instructors with whom the hotel is in contact: Diving, Trekking, Mountain Biking and sea Kayaks.

Diving

Elba is the ideal place for underwater diving enthusiasts and boasts some of the most beautiful sea-beds of the Mediterranean, with shallows, wrecks and rocks that have rolled down from the cliffs above.

For those intent on discovering this beautiful underwater world, diving courses are available throught the local Diving Centre, with the issuing of the international licenses.

Nature

Two Km from Pomonte, reached by boat or footpath, is the "spiaggia delle Tombe" beach, classified in 2003 as one of Italy's 10 most beautiful beaches for trasparency of the sea bed and the enchanting surrounding scenery.

Walking along the trails through the National Park of the Tuscan Archipelago as far as the summit of Monte Capanne, visitors will discover one of the island's most interesting and greenest valleys.

On the higher ground are traces of ancient settlements: the remains of Villanovian villages, medieval Romanesque churches and more recent goat-pens, the shelters of shepherds, typical of the Costa del Sole.
