The southwest of the island of Elba is ideal for an active hiking holiday in the National Park of the Tuscan Archipelago, thanks to the large network of hiking trails that run from the sea to the top of Mount Capanne.

You will be struck by an immense variety of colors and scents of the Mediterranean, which include rosemary, lavender, gorse, arbutus and myrtle. Hike up Monte Capanne in the shade of chestnut trees and oaks and watch the mouflon, the undisputed masters of our mountains.

A never-ending journey to discover the thousand-year history of the island between Caprili, churches, ovens, dry stone walls and Roman remains…

The many hiking trails that will lead you through the National Park of the Tuscan Archipelago will take you to the top of Mount Capanne (1019 m above sea level) through one of the most beautiful and green valleys of the island of Elba.

Our hotel is equipped to help you choose your route. We know the most beautiful hiking trails and are happy to provide our guests with hiking maps.

Grande Traversata ElbanaThe Grande Traversata Elbana (GTE) represents the most important route of the island’s hiking network, a ridge that connects most of Elba’s paths and allows you to observe the island’s incredible geological, vegetation and morphological diversity.
The route can be easily covered in stages starting from the town of Cavo and we in Pomonte are the ideal starting point to spend the night and relax after the demanding sporting venture, since we are right at the end of the last stage of the route, which culminates directly in our village finds.
